“To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, day and night, to make you like everybody else means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight- never stop fighting,” – E.E Cummings. And damn if that’s not the truth in my case. A world that thinks I’m weird. Because obviously, different is weird.
You do … what? A Healer? And what does that mean, exactly? And you eat a plant-based diet? As in you don’t even eat like … cheese? Just leaves and grass? And you don’t drink? But wine isn’t really drinking, right? I mean I’ve seen plenty of studies that say wine is good for you. It’s essentially just eating grapes.
So that’s fun.
I think perhaps I was born into the wrong dimension. Wrong dimension, generation, life form, realm, and layer of ascension. But otherwise, I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be, of course. This little earthlander is just so confining. I mean, I love me, don’t get me wrong, but I just really don’t mess with humans like that. They’re so … basic. If anyone has this shit figured out, it’s the animals. As I write that I look up and see a smiling Pomeranian ride by, head out the window of a car, tongue flapping in the wind. He feels me.
The animals are the real MVP’s. They meet their basic needs when they need to be met and are otherwise in a general state of meditation. Straight chillin’. Not worried about tomorrow or if their momma loves them or if their hair is matted or if they look fat or if their butt is big enough. I think they, if anyone, are the most evolved of the bunch. We think it’s humans because we’ve created the ability to worry, have based our entire existence upon the accumulation of little green-printed pieces of tree, and have opposable thumbs with which we build things. But does that make us more evolved? I’m really not too sure about that.
Animals don’t know gender except that one might have a hole where another has a pole, no concern about one another’s coat color, not trying to have the flyest collar, can sense stuff well before it happens, and are the happiest little bumble-dee’s around. But they’re the “lesser” species … right?
Silly humans.
With Love, Solé
