17インチのLaptopが入るトラベルBackpack
バックグラウンド Laptopのサイズは13-17インチぐらいまで色々ありますが、私の場合、会社で支給されているのは17インチです。モニターが大きめでテンキーもあるので仕事がしやすいのですが、旅行の際の持ち運びが少し大変です。 大変と言った理由は、Backpack1つでLaptopも入れて1-2日ほど旅行したい場合です。丁度いいBackpackを持っていないので新しいのが欲しいとリサーチしたらかなり時間がかかりました。その反面色んな知識も身に着けたのでこの記事で皆さんとシェアしたいと思います。 今使ってるバッグのメリットとデメリット 日本で買ったPorterのカバンです。バッグ自体少し重量がありますが気に入ってます。バッグが完全に開くのも使い勝手がいいと思います。 でも17インチのLaptopがギリギリLaptop専用スリットに入りません（あと1cm余裕があれば入るぐらい）。ちなみにこのバッグは7年ぐらい前に購入した物なので、自分が17インチのLaptopを持ち運ぶために購入したものではありません。 このバッグに17インチのLaptopなど入れて着替えなど小物を入れると中がごちゃごちゃになります。ごちゃごちゃはトラベル用のポーチみないな小分けにできるやつを使えば解決しますが、1泊分は入るけど2泊となると小さいのです。 また、今年から始めたランニングで他州のレースに出場する時の荷物を入れるとぎゅうぎゅうになります。もう少し大きいサイズのBackpackが欲しいのです。 探してるBackpack条件 下記の条件が私が探し求めるBackpackです ・メンズ用 ・17インチのLaptopが入るLaptop専用のCompartmentがある（＝他の荷物と一緒にごちゃごちゃならない） ・サイドポケットがあってドリンクが入れれる ・バッグ自体があまり重すぎない ・作りがちゃんとしていて壊れにくい ・外観がシンプル（ロゴとかあまり見えない方がいい）な感じでできればオシャレなのがいい ・値段は100ドル前後が希望。すごく気に入れば200ドルでもいい ・ハイキングにも持っていけるような感じだとさらに👍（＝Water resistant or proof） ・メインのStorageが大きいこと、たくさんフロントポケットいらない 17インチLaptopを入れるBackpackの数が少ない ほぼ丸1日費やしてリサーチしました。わかったことは、16インチまではたくさんあるけど、17インチ以上だと極端にBackpackの数が少ないこと。 Amazonで調べるといくつか出てきますが、見た目もある程度気に入った物で長く使えたらいいなーという気持ちで探しています。値段が安いからという理由でそのものにときめきを感じないで購入しても結局大切に使わないし、古くなってもずっと使いたいと思わない傾向にあるので、今回は気に入った物を買いたいと思ってます。 AmazonでRatingのいい例はMateinというBackpackです。17インチのLaptopも入り、物もたくさん入るようです。値段も35ドルぐらいなのでお得です。 でも値段が安いだけあって、ジッパーの質が安い物だったり、Laptopを入れる一番下にPadがないのでLaptopを机＆床に置いた時の衝撃が直接伝わる。USBチャージするポートがあるけど私は使わないだろうということ。Amazonレビューにジッパーが壊れたり、生地が縫い目から取れたりしているものがありました。 以上の理由からちょっと探しているBackpackとは違うのかなーなんて思いました。 リサーチで出くわしたブランド リサーチをしていると私と同じような悩みを持った人の多くが質問していることに気づきました。17インチのLaptopが入るオシャレなトラベルBackpackがない！ということです。 そんな人たちはやはり相当リサーチして購入後にレビューなどを残したり、Redditなどの掲示板にコメントでアドバイスする人も多い印象です。そこで出てきたブランド名がこちら↓ Aer →デザインがシンプルでアウトドアに向いてそうなバッグ。ただし、ほぼ全てのBackpackがUp to 16インチのLaptopが入ると記入がある。17インチのLaptopが入るという記載はなし Fjallravel →四角いBoxの形でオシャレな感じ。ちょっと私が持つにはオシャレ過ぎかなーこれを持ってる自分の姿が想像しにくい。ただし17インチのLaptopが入ると記載ありで全開するタイプで使いやすそう Tom Bihn →デザインはちょっとダサいのもあるけど評価が非常にいい。17インチのLaptopが入るというバッグがいくつかあります Osprey →デザインもミニマリストでアウトドアにも使えそうでウェブサイトに17インチのLaptopが入ると記載あり。バッグが全開するタイプなので使いやすそうだけど、すごくいいレビューがない。Lifetime warrantyがあるのは魅力 North...

ホリデーシーズンでもCalala Islandを簡単に予約する方法
バックグラウンド Hyattポイントを使いSmall Luxury Hotels (=SLH)に泊まることができ、多くのSLHは宿泊費が高いことがほとんど。特にニカラグアにあるCalala IslandはUltra all-inclusiveという特殊な設定で部屋数も6部屋ぐらいしかないのでとても面白いホテルだ。ということを過去の記事で紹介しました。 この記事では部屋数が限られた人気のあるCalala Islandの予約方法を紹介したいと思います。 ポイントで予約できる部屋数 Standard villaが4部屋、そして少し広めの部屋Suitesが2部屋の合計6部屋あるようです（参考記事）2022年以前までは合計4部屋だったみたいです。 Hyattポイントで予約ができるのはStandard villaの4部屋のうち1-2部屋です。1-2部屋というのは2部屋予約できる日にちもあるし、1部屋だけの時もあるという意味（または自分と同じタイミングで誰かも2部屋目を予約して2部屋予約できることを確認できなかった） 単純に1日2部屋リリースされていたとしても、1年365日なので730部屋分しかないということになります。1年の半分は2部屋リリースされて、あとの半年は1部屋だけだとすると547部屋分 さらにCalala Islandの予約は最低3泊以上でないとできません。つまりMaxで特典用の部屋がリリースされていたとしても1年間で243組しか泊まれないということになります。半年1部屋の場合は182組。 泊まる人みんな3泊ではないだろうし、ポイントで泊まる宿泊客が出発したその日にまた違うポイント予約の宿泊客が泊まるとは限りません。つまりOccupancyが100％ではない。 となると実際は1年間でポイントを使い予約できる部屋数は結構限られているということになります。だから意外に予約しようと検索しても空いていないことがあるんです。 特典リリース日を知る 予約しにくいから諦める！だとマイル＆ポイント使っての旅行の趣味で美味しさを知ることはできません。予約しにくいホテルをどうやって予約するか戦略を考える必要があります。 まずはどのタイミングで特典宿泊がリリースされているのか？を知ることが大切です。393日前（＝13か月―2日）から空いています。空きは中西部時間で朝7時には出ている。 例、2023年11月15日に予約できるのは、2024年12月13日まで。 予約するには2024年12月10日チェックインで13日チェックアウトで検索する必要があります。理由は最低宿泊日数3泊だから。 予約→キャンセル→再予約を繰り返す ポイントの特典宿泊用にリリースされているのは1部屋か2部屋だと説明しました。実はリリースされる部屋数が徐々に2から1に減ってきている傾向です。2022年以前は毎日2-3部屋リリースされていましたが、2023年以降は明らかに1部屋しかない日も多くあります。 ということは、誰かが予約してしまったらその3日間は誰も予約できない。という意味になりますね？ それを逆手にとり利用します。誰かが予約したら他には予約できない。では自分が予約すればいい。 最低3日宿泊が必要だから予約した人以外が次に予約できるのは3日後です。でも3日後に3日空いていないように予約→キャンセル→再予約を繰り返せばいいのです。少しわかりにくいので例を使って手順を説明します。 例 手順1：2023年11月15日に2024年12月10-13日を予約します。 手順2：2023年11月17日に手順1の予約をキャンセル。すると2024年12月10-13日が再度予約可能になる。すぐに2024年12月12-15日を予約 これを自分が行きたい日にちまで繰り返す。 手順2で最初の予約の2日後に再予約しましたが、1日後でもOKです。大切なのは3日空けないでキャンセルし再予約すること。こうすることで自分以外の人が3泊予約できるチャンスは手順2で予約をキャンセルして再予約するプロセスの30秒ぐらい。 この30秒の間に誰かに取られるということはほぼほぼありません。だってその30秒の間に自分と同じ日程を検索して予約を完了させないといけないんですもん。 こんな感じでひたすら自分が泊まりたい日程になるまで上記のプロセスを続けます↓ 注意 特典宿泊用の部屋は減ってきているとは言っても2部屋の日にちもあります。もし自分と同じようにこの方法を用いて予約している人が万が一いる場合、1部屋しかリリースされていない日程に差し掛かった時に予約が取れた方が勝ちとなります。 週末は1部屋しかリリースされていないことも多いようなので平日が逆に注意が必要です。 「この日程を予約しているのは自分だけだ～」 と余裕こいて気を抜くと途中で予約できなくなる可能性もあるのでご注意を。 1/1と12/25のチェックアウトはホテルがブロックしているためポイントを使っての予約ができません。 裏技 とても人気で空室が少ないホテルCalala Islandですが、裏技が存在します。この情報はFlyertalkにも他のネットにも載っていないのでオンラインコミュニティのみでシェアしています。 ぜひCalala Islandに行ってみたい！または我が家のように友達家族と一緒に旅行したい。Calala Islandを検討したい！という方はぜひコミュニティをチェックしてください。とてもいい情報だと思います。より分かりやすいようにスクショを使い解説しています。...
